1 year and counting

Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday #ThePlusDiaries. Happy birthday to you!  

Yes, we are celebrating today because our baby (yes, this is your baby too) turns 1 today.  One year ago today, I made my first post on this blog site and it has been a journey every since.  As I look back on my first post (I posted the link to twitter earlier), I couldn't help but how much a year has changed.  I have a great relationship with Manik Mag (www.manikmag.com) and I love writing for them.  My other endeavor(s) seems to be taking off and I am absolutely in love with doing photo shoots.  

What has happened in this year?  I don't have the time to tell you everything.  However, I will tell you this - life has been life.  It's been up.  It's been down.  It's been teaching me lessons.  Most important, I have grown and my love for writing has never been stronger.

100 Days of Happiness

Every once in a while, I go away from the true story of this blog (living the plus life) and give you an insight on to some things (I call it madness) that is happening in the life of its author (me).  Tonight is going to be one of those nights.  

Let me get this disclaimer out of the way.  I will be referencing my faith.  I am Christian and I love God and believe that He is my savior.  This post isn't meant to change your religion or meant to shove my religion down your throat.  However, if you do not wish to read any further, I totally understand.  

To tell you that May has been horrible would be an understatement.  The really sad part is that I knew it was coming and I thought that I had prepared myself, but apparently not enough.  I've been angry with myself and with God and just trying to figure out how in the world to stay above the water.  The irony is that one of my favorite songs right now is Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) by Hillsong United and those words tell the story…
