So, I have written about this before, but tonight it is going to a different level.
Today was a spa day for me. I had a wonderful time and believe it or not, I even feel asleep while she was working on my eyebrows. However, there was one place that she had to remove hair that gets my attention every time.
The last time I wrote about this, I think I was still getting partial Brazilians. If you haven't figured out what I am talking about, I am talking about grooming my goddess. (This is why there is a disclaimer before you even get to my blog site). Well, I have since graduated to getting a full Brazilian. OMG!!! Today makes the second time that I have had that done to my body and let me just tell you, it is a totally different experience.
For real, if you would have told me about doing this a year ago, I would have laughed in your face. Even though I have lost weight and I am still working on my body, I still have some confidence issues when it comes to me. So, add that to the fact that when I go have the goddess taken care of, she has to hold my tummy (not as much as she had to last time) to get to where she needs to be. But here is the best thing, her professionalism.
She has never made me feel bad about my size. If anything, we talk during the entire time (until she gets to my eyes). I have never felt like I didn't belong and quite frankly, I've seen other plus size women in the spa. That just makes me feel better because obviously, they have had the same positive experience. We wouldn't keep coming back if we didn't.
Here's my point, there are people out there that think we are fabulous just the way we are. Don't you think that it is time for us to start loving ourselves a little bit more? Come on, ladies, we totally have this. Enjoy life, be healthy, and rock those curves. There is absolutely nothing wrong with us, so we need to stop acting like it.
